If you were alive back in 2001-02, you probably remember those BMW promotional films starring Clive Owen as The Driver. Each was directed by a star director and they were all pretty amazing.

If I recall, this was truly the whole reason. As the rules around what you can put in an ad are very limiting. Some countries dont allow you to show speeding, or out of control sideways slidery for example.
